The path to victory for the Left in the West is quite straightforward imo. Hard part is actually doing it.

You basically need to co-opt old liberal and sociodemocratic party structures just as Trump did it with the GOP, and build a sort of woke inverse-MAGA movement that comes with the same revolutionary spirit to take power out of boomers. You've got plenty of diverse Millennials in all the big cities ready to join. Momentum, Sanders, Indignados and the Occupy movements should be the dress rehearsals for what needs to happen now.

We need strong, charismatic leaders whose face can be out on posters and memes. They should be as DEI as humanly possible, but also strong. We need to shitpost like our lives depend on it, because they actually do. It's wartime now.

Maintaining idealism at heart and embracing realism in practice is incredibly hard. It's paradoxical. The left's idealism explains most of the intricacies of the left discourse. The obvious one is the constant fragmentation and lost power, but it even explains the hatred against AI & crypto.

The way i see it, the path to power requires embracing the paradox. It's not straightforward, but as an example: IMHO leftists should embrace "causing Dems to lose elections". You see a lib accusing the left? Embrace it. "You're, we're too stubborn. We'll always be stubborn. We'll cause more harm. The only way for us to come together is to appeal to me fully". Perhaps not being a genocidal freak and a little more equality might be sufficient, but that's not how negotiations work.

100%, but also what i was saying was, there are bits of cynicism required to achieve power - and religion can somewhat alleviate that
