When I speak to people from Crypto Twitter (mostly artists), they say one of the main reasons they don't want to come here is that they think it's all about tip-farming. It feels degen-coded. The reality is CT has a lot more engagement farmers. The reason of this perception is the endless "reply-tipping" everywhere. I think tips are great but they're cumbersome in the current UI.

yeah if the key factor is "smooth UX" then this place will always lose. if the debate is "harder to get banned for your art" then this place has an edge. so depends on what artists care about.

it's the vibe that the ux gives. it looks like "just a casino" when it really is not

I agree the vibe is that. And would even say itβs also a thing, not just a vibe. Iβm here in spite of that vibe/thing. The reason is because the other part (freedom) is more important to me. So itβs really a question of priorities. Artists who value artistic freedom should spend at least some time here. Not all, but at least some. Just in case. Just for freedom.
