Canada buckling and wasting 1.3b is an actual win for him though.

He couldn't have spinned it that easily if Trudeau hadn't caved and seeked partnerships with other countries.

And spinning it easily is mostly due to the fact that MAGA is not paying close attention and they believe what he tells them to believe.

$1.3 billion isn't that much really, particularly when a lot of it will go to creating jobs for Canadians. Just the administrative costs of dealing with  tariffs would have probably cost that after not long.
