Peter Thiel is a shitty person, and way too many of you are willing to look past that just because you secretly hope he'll invest in your half baked startup idea.

Curious -- Do you know him personally? Have you ever interacted with him? What are you basing this opinion on?

He's a massive public figure with a bunch of shit takes - don't need to know him personally to know he's trying to Manchurian Vance into the presidency (and is almost successful)

His shit takes definitely make him a shitty person. For example: • Monopolies are good and companies should seek to attain them. • Diversity initiatives are very evil • social programs like welfare are bad • "I no longer believe freedom and democracy are compatible" If anyone is an enemy of the people, he is.

OK, so how about Kamal's price control proposal? Any economist would tell you it's a shitty idea. So is she shitty, too?

Specific policy ideas can be debated but Thiel's fundamental values are shitty. Like we can debate gov't interference, or collective interference in prices. We can debate social policies. We can even debate collectivism vs individualism. But if someone's core values are rotten, there's nothing to debate.
