The most interesting & important conversations are happening in mid-size group chats, not on public social networks. But group chat apps aren’t optimized for consumption. Imagine if Twitter made you read every single tweet chronologically and sent you a notification everytime someone tweeted and you had little information on who’s talking or why you should care. And there was no way to mute or follow people/topics or find other chats that might be a fit based on your interest/ability to contribute. Something new will fill the gap.
