The funding rate has exceeded the previous historical high since early 2024. Since then, it has fallen rapidly and briefly entered negative territory. I think after this correction it may start to rise again.

Funding rate refers to periodic payments that are calculated and paid to traders in proportion to the price difference between the market of permanent futures contracts and the spot price.
