i learned how to yukiita on this trip. yukiitas are surfboards for the snow.

unlike snowboards, you’re not mounted to the board, so it’s a lot more free and flowy. 

you can’t ride them in resorts, because when you fall the board goes flying. instead, you have to hike up back country hills with your board and snow shoes, but you’re rewarded with untracked lines, fresh powder, and insane views. 

best feeling in the world, and hokkaido powder is perfect for it.

you should def get one. not much snow at all. here we are riding down the street in the middle of a small snow storm. we set up a couple jumps and ramps across the house. but on a hill in fresh pow, can’t beat the feeling.

Wow, ok. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a spring sale. I saw them at my local shop, and I don't think have caught on here yet so should be soon.
