It's certainly an insightful and detailed read, offering plenty of depth. Thanks for pointing to it. However, it somewhat implies, without explicitly stating, that centralized regulations are necessary for crypto. In contrast, I believe we should progress towards decentralized regulations built upon crypto mechanisms.

I mean sure that would be ideal but how would you even implement that? For the foreseeable future there is no way to avoid regulation without killing adoption. Focus, for now, should be on getting clear and reasonable regulation. While not perfect, EU is on a goodway for example.

Centralized regulation conflicts with the essence of decentralized, censorship-free platforms. Though maybe well-intentioned by the government, it's a step back. In my opinion we should focus on advancing through collective efforts and innovative thinking as we have done in past evolving web3 tech.
