Why is there not more volume traded for onchain options protocols? Seems like a issue with pricing models.

Also a problem with liquidity fragmentation across tenors. Have you seen panoptic? They are building an option protocol on top of uniswap v3

I just don't think it's cool yet in DeFi to trade options... What I mean is there isn't enough to degen on and the platforms are obscure and unknown. In tradfi Robinhood TD Ameritrade etc made options accessible to the retail trader. Don't think we have done that yet in DeFi.

I wouldn’t say the issue is with pricing or liquidity fragmentation. Maybe it’s the UX, but the UX is equally terrible in TradFi.

Let’s say all of these apparent issues were to be resolved, what would it take for *you* to be trading DeFi options?

Liquidity, most are euro options (cannot sell/exercise early), and surprising lack of knowledge

Most cryptobros ( including myself ) does not understand to have enough volume.

there is also a liquidity fragmentation problem because options are seperated in tokens & maturity

There are not enough people providing liquidity
