What’s your prognosis on NFTs as we know them now?

Maybe a bit obvious but I think many current NFTs will not recover their past value and will even degrade in data, which will make collectors picky. Also not sure if ERC-721 in its current form is good enough. We might see standardized forms of it that give harder guarantees on permanence and decentralization.
