72 hours in nyc: farcon, baseball game, food tour and cocktail adventure with @underdog (megathread 1/2) 🧵

we drove about 6 hours on thursday, not without stopping on the way at my favorite mall on the planet: woodbury commons where i bought my dress at zimmerman and some new alexander mcqueen sneakers (my uniform shoe basically)

had some amazing italian food and drank some amaro to kick off the weekend

we arrived late at the pizza dao event to see a haze of smoke and some interesting art, where i got to see an IRL first time meeting of @underdog and @apex777.eth that warmed my heart, then we left to have a proper guinness with the irishman

i started my friday morning at dry bar (naturally) and then headed to farcon

@underdog went in search of geisha coffee and sights

i saw some familiar faces yoinked a @gmfarcaster shirt, walked with @afrochicks to get a matcha and then sat with @bethanymarz during the first few talks

my favorite talk in the start of the day being @dwr.eth and @v Q&A session where i first learned about the cobra effect

i watched some lighting talks-- my favorite being by @phil, a fellow WNYer who taught me about the toothbrush test and called us all optimists, @samuellhuber.eth also brought a /firefits

during the lunch break, i walked a few blocks to see one of my favorite friends at his job- @steben it was so good to see you!

then @underdog took the ferry across the river to meet me for some drinks and snacks and we began our brooklyn adventure starting at antidote where i had a wasabi cocktail and then heading to other half domino park to pretend craft beer was still cool and post a beerbrat throwback photo

from there we headed to l'industrie to grab a slice, encountered the famous NFT mural and tried to go to some farcon after party event (HAD A @pichi SIGHTING!!!!)  but they were at max capacity so we headed to a bar with @thedude and @wanderloots.eth where i learned so much about personal knowledge

then it was off to find some more interesting spots, we ran our way through brooklyn having some amazing cocktails & snacks at various bars before heading back to manhattan where i intended to get ready for the @boysclub net gala and fell asleep instead- a moment for the vintage betsey johnson dress i was going to wear

SATURDAY: woke up & attended a timeshare presentation where i was bribed with our entire weekend stay, $150 & another 6 night stay. made the kid who had been on the job 5 days practice his sales skills on me (didn't work) i onboarded him to crypto & then rewarded myself with an espresso martini flight (end of megathread 1/2) 🧵
