“Execution and operational excellence is more important than ever” folks on Twitter are saying, whilst US M2 inches ever closer to the all time highs of 2022.

This isn’t a prediction of any kind, merely an observation that it takes awhile for economic reality to trickle down to thoughtboi consensus on Twitter.

The thing that I have trouble with, and the reason I pretty much don’t read anything on Twitter anymore, is the notion that so much of what we accept as “good business practices” could really just be a deluded consensus formed from 15 years of easy money.
