Farcaster

Having seen many non Warpcast Farcaster clients come and go over the last 1,5 years here is my thoughts on building a client as of 2024-10-23

when you're pitching Wildcard to folks outside Farcaster what are reactions you got?

I always pitched Farcaster along with the Wildcard fc client is the thing. 

I'm bullish on how @dwr.eth and @v are building and it is something to study. I think the reason chat is closed makes sense from an engineering perspective and how opening up will work isn't necessarily gonna be chats in other clients synced.

Eventually the value in an alt full-feature fc client - of any kind - becomes null since Warpcast is expandable enough through actions, mini apps, etc. And the login experiences are simply not there to fully delete Warpcast and still have access to Farcaster or your Warpcast created fc account.

To be honest I think they don't enable schedule casts or other silly simple features as a favor to existing clients to have a selling point.

Im not saying that. I am saying the rewards for the effort are equivalent to low hanging fruit. but the fruit isnt hanging low necessarily either.

interesting that you say one could just not build a client and agment warpcast in a way that they get paid but people still have all in one app
