This sounds like unnecessary use of funds. A DAO shouldn’t need strategy docs for “alignment”. If you want alignment, convince people to vote as you want. But the DAO shouldn’t be funding a small group to do that.

I can see the use of this if it were either more concrete, i.e figure out if some concrete idea is workable and worth pursuing OR if it were more of info-gathering nature, like “we are going to interview many members and get an idea what the DAO wants to do, then summarize that.”

But this just sounds like corporate top-down strategy work to me, and I’m not sure this approach is in tune with the mechanics of a DAO. People can still vote however they want.
