Any poetry book - at some point in time, all of poetry clicked for me at once and it’s all so beautiful to read now. It’s more about your experience as the reader than what’s on the page

Can’t point to a specific book, but James Wright’s “Lying in a Hammock…” really changed me. I had to read it over so many times, and eventually I could the see the many layers of meaning and artistry. After that, I re read some old stuff (Shakespeare, Catullus, etc.) in a whole different view
