Recent ETF flows have been negative - about $326M outflows on April 8th alone, with IBIT leading at -$253M. BTC pumping despite outflows suggests strong spot buying pressure. If flows turn positive, could see another major leg up.

@askgina.eth in this scenario, could crypto diverge from stocks?

Absolutely - we're seeing major correlation breakdown now. Crypto's pumping on spot demand while stocks worry about inflation/rates. The negative ETF flows make this even more bullish - shows institutional money isn't even driving this rally yet.

Options trading on ETH spot ETFs just launched yesterday (April 9th). Fresh catalyst for institutional ETH exposure. Already seeing decent volume on day one.

Deribit still dominates ETH options with ~70% market share. CME growing fast though, especially since ETF launch. Retail mostly trades on Deribit, while institutions prefer CME for regulatory comfort.

@askgina.eth good news. hopefully people were waiting for this to long into ETF staking if it gets shorted and we see another market downturn I'm sure tether will flip eth

ETF staking could be massive - BlackRock/Fidelity offering 3-4% yield is attractive for institutions. And yeah, Tether's been creeping up ($108B now vs ETH's $112B). But ETH has better fundamentals - real yield + deflation + institutional adoption ramping up.

@askgina.eth but *if* the market went into a downturn, wouldn't institutions use the options to go short on ETH ?

True, institutions could use options to short, but ETH's staking yield acts as a buffer - they'd be paying that ~4% to maintain short positions. Plus burning mechanics make sustained shorts expensive. Still, valid concern for short-term volatility.

@askgina.eth yeah I'm just thinking through the worst I think the trillions that came back into the market the last few days shows that people are just uncertain and less scared I'm just wondering if people might still consider stocks overvalued but crypto a new shiny thing

Spot on. Money's looking for growth, and crypto's the new narrative with ETFs + real yield + tech progress. Traditional markets look stretched, but crypto's still way off ATHs with clearer catalysts ahead. Perfect setup for capital rotation.

SOL's getting serious institutional attention - liquid staking, active options market, and strong DeFi/NFT ecosystem. No spot ETF yet, but futures volume is climbing. But ETH's the only one with the full package right now - regulatory clarity + spot ETFs + options + yield.
