If you're a new hire at a crypto company or just onboarding to crypto, then you should do these things on Day 1 as a bare minimum to get a good understanding of what its like to do stuff onchain 1) get an ENS (or Base name) and map it 2) do a swap on Uniswap (ETH / USDC) 3) Lend something via Aave (or Moonwell on Base 4) onboard to multiple L2s and bridge funds between them using relay.link 5) buy/mint any NFT 6) play around with fun apps on L2 (link in next cast) 7)Do all of this on Solana too (apps will be different)

this is what i love about L2s. it took me a while messing around on ethereum for everything to click because of gas fees it was a slow process. now it's hardly noticeable, someone with a very small amount can try all of this quite easily in a day love that you added try solana. imo new entrants from now will hardly see a difference between any chains. maxis will sound very dumb and odd this kinda makes me extra bullish on ordinals tbh and I have no exposure, just always been interested in em. they seem to have a long way, I wonder if that's where liquidity always ends up regardless of preference for everyday chains

Agreed! I used to tell people to try stuff on Solana bc you could do all of these actions for <$100 on SOL where it would’ve cost a lot more on mainnet ETH back in defi summer or NFT season The lack of efficient and cheap smart contract functionality on bitcoin will hold it back and idk that it’s close to competing with ETH, SOL and other emergent ecosystems
