I strongly disagree with Vitalik that pump is bad. pump is a nascent form of content moving onchain — thereby letting it be valued and creating real value that can flow to creators and curators who can identify content value early. there's absolutely things *around* pump (and other asset classes + venues) that are bad (e.g. people manipulating markets), but I think it's actively harmful to denigrate pump itself. onchain creativity is good — and pump has been pioneering. thank you to @alon and team for their leadership 🫡

pump.fun sucks, 98% of coins are criminal-run enterprises with baked-in pumps and dumps so there's no integrity there and no incentive to grow any. fuck a community too it's all twitter and tgram bot shit and a total waste of vril. Nobody is going to talk about any of the leaderboard in a year because they're all going to below 0.

you really think *any* token on ethereum hasn't had the same? with pump fun you know what you're getting. on EVM devs can cook up all sorts of stuff, then if you can't verify yourself you're trusting 3rd parties

it's not about the chain it's on; solana has amazing projects and so does ethereum but the BEST projects on either chain are vetted through time and trial. I get that memes are ephermal and people jumping on NOW energy is cool, I do that all the time in my own trading, but pump.fun is increasingly a place for gambling addicts to continue self-harm. I don't support. I'd rather on gamble on stuff I feel more intimate with now.
