oftentimes the quickest way to social influence is to piggyback on already existing pockets of social influence, then amplify that through go-to-market strategy that emphasizes social activity. in this case, doing that among Farcaster’s initial (and pre-engaged) following…

once Farcaster finds social virality with new communities (beyond web3) for network expansion, it could be unstoppable

But brand building happens in stages. And at the current juncture, FC is doing well for the people who love it

If the network & its current engaged base want to, they can and should position themselves as a community that’s truly for the everyman & committed to preserving the power of one’s social graph

lots of pre-existing ppl who are on Farcaster seem to love Farcaster—& that’s a lot more than can be said of even more recently launched microblogging platforms that boast larger installs [on paper] 🪡 :)

ya! admittedly i haven’t immersed myself in the complexity of it all whatsoever. but i like what they’re doing & they should be proud of what they’ve built thus far

a simpler take would be tackling the brand architecture of Farcaster v. Warpcast…

I believe @dwr.eth and @v have publicly talked about how their Farcaster (or at least Warpcast) growth strategy is to become something like the discussion layer of Eth and is ultimately an explicit bet on the Ethereum ecosystem so maybe that isn't a brand weakness...
