2nd day of conference week: 

This yr, been trying to avoid really big speeches and prioritize smaller scale meet ups, pre-schedule 1 on 1s, so far, this seems working well: 

1. hard to have deep conversations in a crowded venue. 

2. does not make sense to sit among hundreds/ thousands ppl listen to a speech which 1) already been talked abt somewhere else, or 2) we can watch from youtube later.

3. Most topics and panels from bigger venues are quite saturate, ends up quite boring. Ppl just politely complement each other, nothing new to hear abt. No real communication, no innovation. 

4. Good time to catch up w/ old frens as surprisingly amount of ppl coming here from all over the world. Some of them haven't seen for 6 yrs. 

5. Industry has been more than 10 yrr now, if we want to grow out of our bubble, we need to uphold this industry's unique value proposition, meanwhile innovate and also be pragmatic. Long gone the days of swinging by white paper, narratives, and instant 100x;

6. Cultural problems = growing pains in many ecos, as @dannyryan said in his letter, be careful of false prophets, complex incentives, dead-ends, and other dangers. Wish @ethereum the best. if not, there will still be something else working out for us. 

Side note: I commit myself to never sign up for big venue speeches in future.
