How are people feeling about the upcoming channel changes?

Farcaster Channels are onchain communities

There are 12,692 active farcaster channels on @farcaster
3,835 of them are popular. 
Most followed channels have 387,034 followers. 

Some of them feels not more than a hashtag, best of them are onchain communities: 

/kiwi-news is a decentralized hacker news, and a 495 member group chat where we discuss cryptography, decentralized media, and poppyseed ice creams;

/itookaphoto and its series, actively curated by @inceptionally is where we share photos, videos and earn rewards. 

/clubted is a community made me wish I'm in LA so I can join all the URL-IRL meet ups; 

Difference b/w x and @farcaster, are the communities I find here. 

However, many channels that have great potential to be more community-like, are not there yet, why is that? 

Building a community takes lots of work. Even w/ tooling like @automod , @rounds , & @hypersub, it is still hard to transform channels into a frictionless onchain community experience.

thoughts: 

1. At this stage, changing a lot > not to change at all, latter = everything just stalls;

2. Can see it become challenging for bigger channels, great for smaller channels already running like a community-wrote abt this last month: https://warpcast.com/casslineth/0xfbd2d4db

3. lots dev tooling needed, just built and soft launched @nanograph api at @farhack asia which can help 1) channel owners figure out their active users; 2) users figure out channels they frequently cast, devs already leveraging it like @nikolaiii . gonna see what we can do to help for the upcoming changes.
