I'm not as confident about the consumer funded apps tho (unless you're talking about ALL consumer).

In crypto, being attractive as VC investment is mostly at odds with building something people want.

THIS is the reason why we don't have 1B users in crypto yet. 

Also not even trying to dunk on VCs here, it's a natural outcome of incentives and the accelerated + inflated payouts enabled by tokens

i think degen introduced a valuable new model for distribution by users with ephemeral token allowances. but it lacks utility beyond tipping (read: token sinks). make a usable token thats distributed to an active community and it could stick (i hope. this is my model)

degen had innovative distribution models (supply) , still have demand side (besides tipping) to work on for long term growth

yeah. imo staking is not an innovative use case; while tipping is, so staking won't change much
