They focused on cost cutting optimization because they had to while everyone else focused on buying more compute.
They published their findings so others will be able to adopt them too.
Everyone benefits.

The cheaper inference gets for more complex use cases the more demand there will be the more chips we'll need. It'll just keep going and going.
