thinking about taking ayahuasca, any concerns i should be aware of?

I mean, I'm not going to argue the effects on psychedelics on the brain, especially considering how biased a majority of those studies are. 

But ayahuasca specifically has been used for 1000s of years,  Is just dmt ,and  multiple studies say that it doesn't have any long-term negative effects on brains or bodies

But wasn’t it always like a ritual vibe that took a bit of prep…weeks/months?
