I've said this once (or 50 times) but I'll say it again. 

I bought a shitcoin on mainnet in spring '21. $200. It did 3x in a day. I wanted to sell it all. Gas fees were $700. 

gas tracker site stopped counting the gas at 1000 gwei. The site simply stops after that number (for reference, it's less than 2 gwei now). Simple send tx was $200. Uniswap swap was $400-600. Complex or indirect swaps (such as mine) even more. This scarred me. I love my L2s.
