I don't measure my laundry detergent. 

I just pour it in.

This is a massive mistake,
1 for your health
2 for your clothes duration
3 for the wallet 
4 for the environemment (ya don't like fish mfer ?)

Detergent is so powerful and washing machine so well designed that you really don't need that much
like half of recommended dose is enough

No idea. I absolutely just shoot from the hip and pour until I feel good about the amount.

I'm /certain/ I over-use detergent as a result, which is ecologically harmful. Hence the confession; I /know/ I'm an ass-hat for doing this.
