When ppl say 'we need an onchain venmo' They mean 'we need a product that's as good as venmo, but onchain'. There are dozens of companies trying to build the onchain venmo, none that have gotten the product experience right yet. We're not there yet, but getting there.

Would love to hear which compromises, in your opinion, are unprincipled? Decentralization is a spectrum, most projects in crypto are only decentralized via their marketing — their tech says otherwise. There are parts of our stack which are “decentralized” which we could market as such, but choose not to as we want to build compelling experiences that every internet user can use and that to be the focus. We want more people onchain, it’s not going to happen by continuing to build for the existing subset of users. You have to build experiences that every internet user can use. Hope to have you on the side of building products for everyone 👌
