what criteria to define what to set? or should it be like a contest? :)

I could imagine a nice community event and maybe even a monthly rotating banner with different artists?

You make a cast about the banner event, could have a changing theme as well to narrow the scope a bit. People have 24h to reply with proposals (either their own work or the work of others). Likes on the proposals count as community votes (maybe add another 24h to leave votes). The winning proposal provides the banner for a month.

The banner is 1500 x 500 px btw.

Themes could be intrinsic like certain stylistics, i. e. "nature", "painterly", "digital", "visual poetry" or extrinsic, i. e. "grails", "legends", "active on Farcaster", "female artists" ...
