that’s a piece I recently posted on my IG :) It’s a cellular automaton rendered through an ASCII shader. built with p5.js and WebGL.

Thanks! :) Every pixel from the simulation buffer is translated into an ascii character based on the brightness value. You can try the simulation out in the web browser, it’s also mobile friendly. https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2326268 Swipe to move around and double-tap to cycle through different font sizes. 🤞
