I mean, if Cloudflare were to stop its service or lose data, we would lose all Farcaster images. I know it would make no sense to use IPFS-like services, but perhaps finding a middle ground solution would be better than relying solely on Cloudflare.

If you stop paying for IPFS you lose that too? Farcaster is not a good medium for content you want permanently preserved. A blog or website is better served for that.
