Back in 2014, I designed an album cover for a Toronto artist named Pluto. It was for his six-track EP "Jessica", which tells the story of the emotional transitions during a breakup. His team decided at the last minute to go with a different cover, which is the one you now see on the Bandcamp link below. For my design, I wanted to capture a multiple personalities vibe, reflecting the idea that maybe Pluto never really knew the real Jessica. I used three different faces to tie into the EP's intro song "Triangles". The shot I picked only shows one side of Jessica’s face, which could represent concealment, emotional distance, or the complexity of identity. I wanted to suggest that there’s more to her than what’s visible, highlighting an unspoken tension between what’s seen and what’s hidden. 🔗 pluto9.bandcamp.com/album/j-e-s-s-i-c-a

I think I might've gone too deep and focused too much on "Jessica" when Pluto probably wanted the attention on him. Still proud of this one though and loved the EP
