i'd agree with you if the team had represented in any way that channels were decentralized.

they've said time and time again they're not, that they're an experimental feature, and they explicitly have in their docs that squatting a channel and doing nothing with it is grounds for it being reallocated

i disagree with @dwr.eth in public plenty, but on channel ownership rules they've been super transparent and consistent
