Some communities I am in, already switching to TG (telegram) channels instead of FC, as the current means of moderating not cutting it. Those are the qDAUs @dwr.eth @v. Hurry up before you lose the the community builders on FC. CC: @cameron @jessepollak

From my side it looks like they rushed that release. Launching a new feature without the ecosystem. They should have allow channel owners to switch gradually or release their own (made by the farcaster team) tool to moderate channels in the same way it was possible before.

So... i hear all that and (as a channel owner) sorta agree and sorta don't. They've definitely been talking about moderation + how to solve the associated issues in public for like a year now Making the change this way sorta forces people to speak w their feet instead of their fingers (which seems to be happening)

Like I'm definitely not happy with what we have rn (even though stuff like automod is killing it), but not nearly unhappy enough to want Warpcast to own more of the social infra stack If they built their own separate tool + recommended it, it's basically a death blow to 3rd party apps which is why I'm here at all haha

Curated selection would work too. This will make a big difference for the nondev channel hosts looking for a legit moderation solution.
