Low-code, no-code is only a bandaid in an era where everyone is increasingly becoming code literate.

Honestly disagree w this pretty hard. 

The amount of people who use the internet for their livelihood and are never gonna think about code ever is trending up rather than down imo. 

I think AI supported code generation is the bandaid before AI just… 

generates the code.

I mean the only reason I know anything about any of that is because I just find it interesting. 

Logic gates, compilers, and circuits have essentially zero bearing on the app building I do (aside from helping me reason through some particularly weird bugs)

In fact there was a HN thread just today about how increasing levels of abstraction are causing new workforce entrants to miss out on acquiring the underlying knowledge — of the lower-level languages, of the network layer, of the CPU, etc.

AI-generated code might just accelerate that trend.
