i always said interesting content is subjective. imo dan saying “not enough interesting content” was wrong, or maybe he should have worded it differently. alot of things impact content and the main thing is consumers. there are not enough people on the app so the content is limited to the same people, too many bots engaging. onboarding more people would help, yes. but imagine onboarding someone and they get thrown in spam the same day. making them invisible. nobody likes not being seen. they might be able to make good content but they already feel like they’re not welcome.

are you saying he’s doing this on purpose so people unite against him? personally i don’t think most people are against him. having to make decisions that affects hundreds of thousands is a huge burden and this is just the beginning. he doesn’t want to piss people that are here already but that looks like his plan with what he said.

not explicitly, but I do think he knows the maturity arc of places like Reddit and how inevitability the fav hobby of the “Reddit community” is to dunk on the people running Reddit and that makes the people there bond w each other so he’s not like bothered by it

oh, i see your point now. this is the maturity arc for warpcast. to generate more content ( i won’t say better) i enjoy alot of people content on here. but how do they tackle new accounts getting thrown in spam? nerfing their potential.

yea its tough here’s my theory *Most* content people make is uninteresting (broadly) It takes a lot of practice + attempts to make interesting stuff AND most people quit before they get good So FC is prob soft filtering for the people that won’t quit by making it take a while to get traction So it feels bad but most people who are upset weren’t gonna stick w it anyway

hmm, i get it. basically the real ones will stay and create content regardless of the situation. i agree, making content takes time and alot of practice. what's even harder is being consistent with quality, so this makes sense. i was looking at it emotionally, cause i would hate to be invisible.
