Hey Chris - do you have a prediction about how the mass probationary firings and other related decisions in the federal government will impact things like the National Parks/public lands/etc this year? (I have some friends in conservation at Dept of Ag who are struggling hard to do their job in the current climate)

probationary employees are the future of these agencies…without them, public lands (access to them, management of them, etc) will suffer…maybe not immediately, but eventually dismantling these agencies makes it easier for the anti-public lands movement to turn around and argue “see, these agencies are bad stewards/managers, they’d be better off in states’ hands”. strategy in this, imo
