i honestly think people are remarkably resilient

like in the army i couldn’t wear contacts in the field bc of eye injury risk (tho i did sneak them sometimes) so i had my glasses and there were a few times i straight up lost them and had to navigate blind (I’m -6 in both eyes) until i could get back to my gear with my spare pairs. 

Although that only worked bc i had obsessive map knowledge bc of anxiety of that exact scenario haha

deeply felt this resilience and adaptability in my personal life when I was hit with Dutch disease (in terms of finances and financial quality). I still can’t believe how I managed to juggle three conflicting situations, come out of them all okay, and even enjoy it!
