I saw the upload yesterday and Christinā€™s post about how to stop feeling like a noob But. How does one find their own ā€˜wayā€™ When it feels like something working for others isnā€™t doing that for you, how do you cope with it and push regardless and find what works for you? Itā€™s can be demoralizing

imo it's a lot of little things adding up not 1 big thing that fixes it like: - comparison is thief of joy (classic) - your "way" is downstream of your values (clarify these to yourself) - if the inputs are the point, not the output then you can always find something to be satisfied with if you do the work

The third point you added ā€œIf inputs are the point, not the outputā€ What if I decide to focus on just the output? Not minding what the input is and not thinking about ā€œmy wayā€ Will that be bad?

So you can explicitly control the inputs (I'm gonna cast 10 times tomorrow), but not the outputs (I want 100 likes on my casts) if you focus on outputs, you're focusing on the thing that is out of your control and that often leads to disappointment. Does that makes sense? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sgVGHSRmfM

Wow This was a perfect video for me, Cam 1. I should just focus on putting in the work and making sure Iā€™m doing it RIGHT 2. I shouldnā€™t predetermine the outcomes so I donā€™t get frustrated if things arenā€™t going my way and kill my morale 3. And lastly. The little things that contribute to achieving any goal all matter. Oh and ā€œcomparison in the thief of joyā€ i need to keep this in mind everytime Really needed this. Conversations with you always help and Iā€™m glad to have met you here fr. Youā€™re like a big bro. I almost got hit by a car yesterday too, the car hit the side of the can i was in. 3 seconds delay on him stepping on that break and i might not be typing this rnšŸ˜‚ it was crazy. And had me in shock throughout yesterday (also made my mood worse)

ofc man, happy to help where i can sorry to hear about the car accident + glad you're okay if nobody has mentioned this to you yet, you're probably going through the stages of grief in regards to your accident. You experienced a trauma and even though it turned out okay, your brain is still processing that stuff and it's not uncommon for you to feel super random things like anger, depression, anxiety, etc that come seemingly out of nowhere. That will pass, but it will take time and it's good to keep an eye out for the signs!

Now that i think about this I was skeptical to go to work today I wasnā€™t lazy, i just didnā€™t want to go into the car. Yesterday was my first time ever of experiencing anything like that. Thank you so much! I feel better and Iā€™ll keep trying to stay positive Do you have any podcasts you listen to focus on positivity? Think i know how i need to spend my weekend

So you know yourself best, but i imagine you are (reasonably) avoidant of the danger you experienced recently (car) Even if your mind didnā€™t understand why, your body certainly does It might not be the most helpful to think of it as ā€œstaying positiveā€ - bc negative emotions arenā€™t inherently bad Theyā€™re important to listen to sometimes too. The biggest thing id say though is to realize itā€™s gonna take time to get back to ā€œnormalā€. You canā€™t just willpower through emotions. It really is a process of acknowledgement, understanding, and processing (and sometimes it takes multiple times and thatā€™s okay)
