Fjord and /mountains around Bolungarvik, Iceland. We came into harbor to ride out a passing nasty storm front. An earlier thaw than usual meant less touring, more hiking for this segment of the trip.

Volcanoes count as /mountains - Yotei-San, recent objective in Hokkaido, Japan. This volcano has one of the most pristine, skiable craters in the world.

📚Last book you finished? I just read Gilder’s life after google. A bit self-indulgent, but deeply researched and very well put together. Made me excited to build things, which is about as good an outcome as exists. Hoping to grow the reading list.

It’s been interesting exploring the optimal boundary between decentralization and short term simplicity in my work. Transpose is a centralized data provider built on a decentralized foundation - can decentralization be seen as transitive? What is the optimal balance/ range of expediency and decentralization?
