to be able to create a collection where artists may both 1. specify custom ETH or SOL tokens as payment/mint price & 2. specify which chain the artworks are minted on who's building this !? cc @zora (&maybe @yungwknd @whitelights.eth) ...

I feel like your best bet on something like this would be to roll your own like vv mint protocol Could use same art reference but they will be different tokens I custom-built mint page, 2 buttons Would love to see it Maybe @yougogirl.eth has thoughts

*currently I actually asked in the math castles discord when ygg was doing a demo of vv mint I was asking for base specifically, but the code is there and available to extend. The answer was yes but we'd have to figure out a new price mechanism since base gas is pennies. I'd assume the same goes for SOL

got it - i think itβs actually going to be quite different for SOL as itβs a completely different thing than base being an ETH L2 β¦ i was hoping zora would be developing this as theyβre in a way more cross-chain minded

I could be over simplifying, and vv mint just an example of a set of open code you could extend. at the root you have token name, description, and art. The rest is determined when the connect and mint buttons are clicked. I would think through phantom wallet code or something you could have the user choose the network and trigger the appropriate connect and mint workflow. Feel like Zora is heading towards social minting Not sure if Highlight could do this? What are your thoughts on Solana mints @emodi, or in this case letting the minter choose? Great discussion either way, @cadmonkey!

yea makes sense - my guess is just that doing a ETH-SOL buy/sell pair would be more difficult than a ETH-ETH-L2 pair of the same mechanism ... but yea would be cool and im sure lots of creators would be interested in making use of it. and yep appreciate you taking the time sharing your thoughts !
