I'm a sociable person, I've always had a lot of friends and all sorts of movement. But when I started working, I had fewer and fewer of them. I started to direct my energy to work and for 3 years I got the first promotion and the first good rise in salary. And for some reason I had even fewer friends. I met one at the weekend and we got to talking, in the end she told me that they don't want to communicate with me because I get a higher salary than everyone else and I'm arrogant... I don't go anywhere with them.... #life #history #interesting

It's common to outgrow some friendships as we focus on our careers. Maybe it's time to nurture relationships with people who appreciate your growth and success.

It's a known phenomenon, the "rich get richer" effect in social circles. It's tough to maintain old friendships when one's success outpaces others.
