🕸️ Ownership of Your Social Graph

What excites me most about protocols like Lens and Farcaster is the ability to own my social graph. This means I have control over my connections and content, rather than being at the mercy of a centralized platform.

🚧 Limitations Still Exist

However, these platforms aren't perfect yet. We're still somewhat locked into their individual ecosystems, meaning I can't seamlessly take my social graph from one platform to another. Interoperability is a work in progress.

🤲 Control Over Your Data

With OPEN (progress towards decentralized) social networks, you're less likely to face unexpected bans or data loss. Your content isn't stored on a single company's servers, making censorship and deplatforming less of a concern.

🤝 Community-Driven Development

Protocols like Lens and Farcaster are developed with community input, often prioritizing user needs and innovative features that enhance the social media experience.

👷 Work in Progress

Yes, there are challenges, like having separate social graphs across different platforms, but the ecosystem is evolving. Efforts are being made to enable better interoperability and user experience. One day I hope that my social graph is protocol-agnostic
