This one goes out to all my USA peeps 1. Please vote no matter what your views and 2. If you find voting as overwhelming as myself, save yourself some energy and use ChatGPT to HELP you (not do it for you). How? Follow along for how I did ๐งต๐

First I started off with giving it a little information about me that would help like my age range, part of the city I lived in, and my economic class. Not trying to give it everything, but some context helps.

For things like propositions, I asked for it to breakdown each proposition by explaining what a "yes" or "no" vote meant and the potential impact on me as a voter. I even asked for analogies that made it clearer of what the impact would be, clutch move.

For evaluating the people (Judges, State Reps, School Board, etc.) it was a quick sentence of what I was looking for in the candidates and what aligned with my views. It told me how the person aligned with me giving me more confidence in my choices. ESPECIALLY for all 42 judges.

Tips: I used ChatGPT 4o and when it came to propositions it worked out better to ask it one at a time. For the people it also helps to write out the candidate names vs taking a picture and having it try to look things up (got some hallucinated names).

Again this isn't a way to get around doing research, but a way to empower your choices. You'd still want to do more of your own research to "verify, not trust" that your AI friend was correct in how it summarized the info.
