Proposed DOGE target: In 1992, Congress told the FDA to approve generic drugs within 180 days of submitting Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs). Since 2006, they've failed, and generic drug approvals lag badly. Getting back to 180 days would save hundreds of billions.
