Tipping without an allowance will get you banned from tipping and invalidate any tips you receive. 

I'd stop doing this.

There is an action you can add to your action bar to check people's degen stats. 

"Check degen stats" it will show their allowance.

This type of behavior is rampant on this site.  Be careful of fake tips.
