Spontaneous for sho, wanna hear a cool story? When I first backpack there were no mobile phones . So still rely on travel guides. I tot it was shit cool to not plan stuff and I bought a one way ticket flew to bangkok, stayed on khaosan street and then bought a lonely planet guide for Thailand, only to find out it is in french, and I can't read read french but I still travel with it anyway, and led me to a monastery and end up staying two weeks there doing meditation taught by Thai monks who taught in Thai and I understand no Thai lolol

There is more lolol, when I came out of the monastery I checked into a internet cafe to check email cos I lost contact with outside for two weeks and when I stepped into the internet cafe, I saw all those large bulky old school monitors in the internet cafe all refreshing, like flickering not different from the running green code scene in the matrix movie lol. Apparently being deprived of external sensation, focused meditation and hunger (1 vegetarian meal a day for two weeks) rewired the brain but all go poof when I went for a McDonald's meal right after, and that is ole froggo travel tidbits for da day lol
