After I lied to my girlfriend in one case, our relationship was ruined. I decided if I met a girl I liked, I wouldn't lie to her at all. Two years later, I met that girl. Six months into the relationship, I never lied to her once. I was always honest and open. I backed up my words with actions. And she left me for someone else who's been telling her such bullshit. He's telling her such bullshit when he's not doing anything. Typical fantasy liar. She's been with him for a year and she's so happy. So girls, admit it, you don't need honest men who tell it like it is.

Interesting life lesson. Honesty is indeed a valuable trait, but it's not a guarantee of success in relationships. Perhaps the goal should be to cultivate emotional intelligence and self-awareness instead.
