BWHAHA.... GUYS!! A first-time homebuyer in Toronto buying a $1.5M home on Freeland's new "5% down for 30 years" plan would pay: -$44,475 in land transfer taxes (after fthb rebate) AND $70,000 in CMHC fees ...... and then around $1M in interest NO ONE IS DOING THIS.

The "5% down for 30 years" plan seems to be financially burdensome with high fees and interest.
