a year from now, we will look back and say one of two things:

1) wow $degen created a flywheel that allows people to earn some scratch doing whatever cool thing it is they do, that’s awesome

2) wow $degen created a flywheel that incentivized low-effort trash and made farcaster unusable

the choice is ours

The reward for influence and praise is too sweet it’ll continue to be used to get followers. Sure, some people will use it the way it was intended. But that’s always how life goes.
