"To Me" Thursday in /nature

Share an image of yourself in nature and tell us a little about yourself so the community can get to know you better. I'll go first...

My name is Jonathan. I was born in New York City and raised just outside the city, near the Ramapo Mountains. As an adult, I lived and worked in New York City for 21 years. 

I started taking photography seriously in 2018 and haven't looked back. Initially, I focused on photographing the city, but I eventually transitioned to capturing natural landscapes. 

I love the outdoors and have been fishing most of my life.

I'm Bryan Sabol, a technical communicator by trade, a marine biologist through academics, and a lifelong devotee of creative photography. I'm a Pacific NW'er--raised in Oregon and now living on a cliff overlooking Puget Sound, WA. 

My focus is fine art landscape photography where I add creative narrative descriptors to help offer the viewer alternative interpretations of the subject. Most recently I've branched out into video formats, where I animate the imagery and embed the narrative directly into the video. This new direction is making me take a serious look at using NFTs as a means to "hybridize" my offerings--tying digital artwork to physical prints. I recently joined Warpcast/Farcaster, and am eager to learn more about the community--especially from those who've found a means to balance their traditional, physical, artwork with digital outlets.
